Australian owned asset manager Real Asset Management (RAM) has notched up a fourth year-in-a-row win in the Australian Fixed Interest category at the IMAP Managed Account Awards 2021.

RAM won the award for its Diversified Fixed Income and Credit Strategy which is designed to provide clients with a reliable income stream, along with low levels of capital volatility. The Strategy has consistently delivered above cash returns with low levels of volatility since inception, returning 4.19% p.a. gross, prior to fees.

RAM’s fixed income offering is led by Director and Portfolio Manager Michael Frearson who manages a range of managed account funds with a philosophy based on keeping the investment process simple and transparent, while monitoring and minimising key risks and maintaining diversification.

Mr Frearson said: “We’re delighted to be recognised again by a panel of experienced industry consultants in this year’s IMAP Awards. During challenging investment periods with record high levels of investment market volatility and record low rates on cash, our strategy continues to deliver on its investment objective.”

The IMAP Managed Account Awards are designed to provide recognition of excellent practice among investment managers, platform providers and advice firms. The judging panel is comprised of independent consultants and industry executives who commended RAM on the quality of its investment offering, supporting material for clients and risk adjusted approach to portfolio construction.

RAM Australia CEO, Scott Kelly said: “This repeat win again proves that asset management firms with the right strategy and people can and regularly do outperform larger firms globally and locally. This win speaks to the quality of the investment process, the team and the track record of RAM’s portfolios, and is another proof point for our clients that RAM is here to deliver for them.”
